Speed Breeding Chambers CBU's (complete built up units)
Unique growth capsule system viz. retrofitted in a container. Utilizes LEDs-providing excellent spectral quality with high irradiance for plant physiology/speed breeding applications. Very precise control of illumination, humidity & or CO2. Extremely gentle airflow pattern for the best growth of plants.
The Growth Capsule is an innovative system of plant growth chambers housed within a transportable container. Utilizing Light Emitting Diodes (LEDs) as its sole light source, it delivers exceptional spectral quality and high irradiance, making it ideal for a variety of plant physiology applications. The system provides perfectly controlled conditions, enabling the cultivation of a wide range of plant species and tissue cultures. Its mobility and effective isolation allow for plant growth in nearly any environment.
Key Features:
Plant Growth Chambers
Uniquely designed chambers for controlled plant growth.
Designed for precise, controlled plant cultivation, making them ideal for comparative studies.
The plant growth chambers from PSI utilize LED's as a sole light source and thus provide excellent spectral quality with high irradiance for plant physiology applications.
These chambers may be used for growing of diverse plants from Arabidopsis to wheat, corn or rice.
The chambers are available in different sizes and compositions.
a. Reach-in-chambers
b. Step-in-chambers
c. Walk-in-chambers or
d. Large customized chambers
Build in humidity control and/or CO2 control.
Multifaceted programming options enable researchers to simulate natural conditions and to define a full range of "day/night" cycles with "dawn/dusk" or "cloudy sky" effects along with basic fluorescence parameters.
A graphical representation of actual conditions inside the growth chamber also displayed.
All data can be downloaded to a PC via the USB cable.
The unique growth units
A single walk-in-chamber when fitted with independent growth units can serve the purpose of any high-throughput laboratory where different plants/species can be cultivated in their own individual growth units placed inside the walk-in-chamber.
These units are primarily intended for use in a climatized chamber (not included with the Growth Unit), where multiple units can be placed and centrally controlled via a programmable logic controller (PLC)—an optional purchase. For smaller setups involving just one or a few Growth Units, control can be easily managed via the built-in display with no need for a PLC.
Key Features:
Flexible Experimental Setup: Multiple Growth Units can be arranged in a single cultivation space, with each unit supporting different light and temperature conditions, making them perfect for running multiple or parallel experiments.
Customizable Illumination: Control light intensity (0 to 100%), timing, modulation and diurnal cycles. Standard color combinations available are White+Far Red, White+Far Red+Red or Red+Green+Blue+Far Red.
Illumination panels per growth unit are divided into two parts and each part can be controlled separately.
Precise Temperature Control: Adjustable within a range of +2 to +14°C above the surrounding cultivation room temperature.
High Light Intensity: Delivers a maximum PPFD of up to 250 µmol.m².s⁻¹ at 30 cm (higher intensities available on request).
Rapid Light Modulation: Simulate natural light fluctuations with fast irradiance modulation for optimal plant response.
Homogeneous Illumination: Ensures even light distribution over the entire cultivation area of 1.4 m².
Height Options: Available in four standard heights, offering flexibility for different plant growth stages.
Optional Measurement Modules: Integrate additional modules for measuring light intensity or fluorescence to enhance experimental data.
With their advanced lighting and temperature control, Growth Units provide a highly versatile platform for conducting precise, multi-faceted plant experiments.
